Welcome to RBG's Private Hut!

Experience three full days of guided small-group ski touring and three cozy nights in our exclusive backcountry hut. Perfect for up to four advanced to expert riders, our hut trips offer a private ski touring getaway in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains near Revelstoke.

With morning helicopter transfers, you’ll spend less time getting there and more time immersed in the adventure. These trips are highly experiential, designed to maximize your time exploring our dedicated touring zone and enjoying the comfort of our private hut.  

Each guest will be required to sign a paper copy of our Release Agreement in person on trip commencement prior to participation in any Revelstoke Backcountry Guides Inc trip. 

HUT EXPERIENCE 

Our 225 square foot backcountry hut is a completely off-grid cabin with a cozy wood stove for heat, a propane stove for cooking, solar power for lights and charging. Best suited for groups comfortable with smaller spaces and remote backcountry living. It's equipped with a sleeping loft with skiers sharing two double beds with all bedding/sleeping bags. It's equipped with all necessary backcountry items provided and simple meals flown in with the group and prepared together each day. Click here for detailed photos of our hut experience. 

TERRAIN AND SKI PROGRAM

Situated at 2000m elevation, the hut is location works perfectly for mid-winter ski touring and offer runs from 250m to 850m, mostly in the "treeline" elevation band.  Our small team is intimately familiar with the zone and can confidently deliver conservative and enjoyable ski programs to suit any weather and avalanche conditions. Terrain ranges from moderate open slopes in the "outfield" to steep chutes and treed paths and pillowy first growth forests. Most groups average about 1200m of elevation gain per day over several ascents and descents with opportunities to do more vertical or more interesting ski lines as conditions and group ability permit. As a guide team, we pride ourselves on leading smooth, risk appropriate tours featuring excellent snow.  


Heli-Assisted Hut Trip


INCLUDES

  • Three days skiing (three nights accommodation) at our private helicopter accessed backcountry hut
  • Morning Helicopter transport to our remote backcountry terrain allows us to ski a full day on drop off 
  • Morning helicopter transport from our remote backcountry in the morning allows you to travel on your fly out day. 
  • Appetizers, dinners and dessert (each hut night) prepared by your guide followed by hearty breakfast and lunch fixings to fuel your day in the mountains.
  • Small group 4:1 maximum ratio guiding by our ACMG Ski Guides and/or IFMGA Guides
  • All cookware, linens (sleeping bags and pillows) and mattresses 
  • Solar power for charging and lights

PROPOSED ITINERARY

We'll choose the best tour for the given conditions on each day and deliver them in a fluid small group one of a kind experience.  Our hut sits at 2000m and is ideally situated for mid-winter powder skiing with runs up to 800m, and a variety of terrain from steep technical chutes and old growth tree skiing to open alpine (non-glaciated) bowls. Most groups spend full touring days doing multiple ascents/descents with a minimum of 1200m of uphill each day. 


  • Day 0 - Meet your guide in town to sign a paper copy of our release of liability and discuss logistics and conditions. (Optional guided Revelstoke/Rogers Pass touring day available as an add-on before or after Hut trip). 
  • Day 1 Booking Date - Meet @ 07:15 am - Flights @ 8:00 am - Full ski day/night 1
  • Day 2 - Full ski Day/Night 2
  • Day 3 - Full ski Day/Night 3
  • Day 4 - Morning flight to Revelstoke @ 8am
